Prototyping
Sample parts close to series production give you confidence before tool and series are finalised.
Prototyping for reliable decisions
Prototypes and pre-series create the basis for confident decisions before series launch. They show whether part, material and injection moulding process work together as intended.
At our plant in Saxony, we produce samples and pre-series close to the later series. Development, toolmaking and production are closely aligned so adjustments can be implemented early and in a targeted way.

FAQ
What are prototype tools?
These are tools or inserts for our master mould, manufactured from aluminium or soft tool steel. They are usually less expensive and faster to produce than production tools. The advantage is that original plastic granulates can be used. The disadvantage is the lower service life of the inserts – depending on the material, up to 10,000 shots.
What batch sizes are typical for prototypes?
Depending on the project (3D printing, prototype tools), from single parts to small series of around 1,000+ units. Close coordination is important so we can select the optimum solution together.
How close to series are prototypes?
In general, 3D printing is suited to testing design and basic functions. With our prototype tools or inserts for our master mould, we can use original plastic granulates. This gives you samples that are in no way inferior to the later series part.
