Re-founded as a screw turning shop by Willfried Mende. Drawing on knowledge of plastics and their processing, the first plastics press and duroplastics processing begin in 1953.
Forced nationalisation of the company – at that time employing 200 people. Operations continue under the name VEB Technoplast Obercunnersdorf.
The family seizes the opportunity to reprivatise the business. Under Lothar Mende’s leadership, the company establishes itself as a supplier across various industries in the turbulent post-reunification years.
The company is handed over to the next generation and led by Andreas Mende.
